“International Music Summit is an educational, inspirational and motivational thought leadership platform dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, electronic music, the artistry related to DJ-ing and all related popular artforms, primarily through the presentation of summits and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of the genre to art and culture worldwide.”
That’s a must go event for high level e-music professionals worldwide. If you’re a DJ, the best time to head to Ibiza is during the International Music Summit (IMS). There you will meet other club professionals across the whole spectrum from agents to promoters, DJs, music producers, PR agents and so on.
Ibiza’s International Music Summit. was founded by Pete Tong in 2008, and after being canceled for the past two years due to COVID restrictions, the event will once again resume in 2022.
The dates are Wednesday 27 through to Friday 29 April 2022 and will be hosted at Pacha’s Destino Ibiza resort hotel.
This is the best time to come to the island, as you can make some international contacts to network with the possibility to collaborate on events, either in Ibiza or any other part of the world.
The 13th edition of IMS will cover a range of themes that affect the music industry, across the whole industry from a producer to party goer.

The idea is for the industry to gather together and share their extensive experience, insights and knowledge as a way to discuss best practices that the electronic music industry should embrace. Key themes to be discussed are around mental health, wellbeing, sustainability, climate action, equality, innovation, collaboration, transparency, education and how the industry can support the whole industry ecosystem.

“The statistics don’t lie; this is a tough business. Thanks to the works of Ben Turner and Blaise DeAngelo, we’ve just completed the first wellness retreat here in Ibiza designed specifically for people in the entertainment industry. Its success proves that our industry needs healing and people want to be healed.”

The Ibiza clubs officially open after around mid may events and last until the end of September for the closing parties. So the best time to go is during the IMS event as you can scout areas and or venues where you pick up a booking or host your own event.

Airbnb Accommodation sets you back anything from €50 per night for a shared room upto €150 per night, depending on the location.
The best area to stay is around Ibiza town, which is the capital of Ibiza and is a small beach city, with transport to any part of the island. From Ibiza town to the IMS event, is a 15 car drive or 20 min ride via Ibiza’s metro.
One other option is to stay near the event, the hotel where IMS will be, Destino Ibiza resort hotel, however the hotel has no availability, so the next option is to stay at a hotel nearby the area.

“We stopped and started work on this event so many times due to covid, it is hard to believe it is happening. In a vulnerable world like the one we now find ourselves in, there is no better time to reconnect, align and assess our future. This is the most exciting time in music for decades, as the promise of web3 brings electronic music culture back to the core community spirit that its foundations were built on. It raises all the right questions about ownership, monetisation and transparency. After all the time off from touring, IMS Ibiza Summit 2022 is designed to focus or find your purpose, as values have never been more necessary to guide us all forwards.”
IMS Ibiza Summit delegates will also be able to experience some of the hottest parties and events on the island, including the iconic IMS Dalt Vila seven hour closing celebration, this year expanded into a two-day event as one of the biggest house music brands in the world, Defected Records, takes over the UNESCO World Heritage Site for a second night on Saturday 30 April, marking the start of the highly anticipated 2022 summer season on the white isle.
