Talvez n\u00e3o seja sobre a idade, uma vez que alguns dos\u00a0meus artistas favoritos s\u00e3o\u00a0mais novos, alguns\u00a0mais velhos. A\u00a0maneira como isso sempre se apresentou a\u00a0mim \u00e9 que sempre teve algu\u00e9m que estava feliz de\u00a0me ensinar e de me passar seus conhecimentos t\u00e9cnicos e\u00a0musicais. Ent\u00e3o eu sempre vou ficar feliz de passar essas informa\u00e7\u00f5es a frente. EC::\u00a0<\/i>Eu tenho que dizer, aquela noite no Club Vibe \u00e9 u<\/i>ma das\u00a0melhores lembran\u00e7as que tenho da carreira de DJ at\u00e9 agora. Isto foi logo depois de come\u00e7ar o projeto “Elijah<\/span>” e naquela noite eu levei\u00a0<\/i>uma sele\u00e7\u00e3o\u00a0incr\u00edvel de\u00a0m\u00fasicas\u00a0de outras pessoas,\u00a0muitas as quais eu\u00a0considerava melhores que as\u00a0minhas pr\u00f3prias\u00a0<\/i>m\u00fasicas,\u00a0<\/i>naquela \u00e9poca. Depois de u<\/i>mas 7\u00a0m\u00fasicas\u00a0eu percebi que o p\u00fablico n\u00e3o s\u00f3 queria ouvir as\u00a0<\/i>minhas\u00a0m\u00fasicas,\u00a0<\/i>mas co<\/i>mo\u00a0<\/i>estavam curtindo tanto quanto as\u00a0m\u00fasicas dos outros que eu tinha tocado. Foi u<\/i>ma experi\u00eancia de humildade para\u00a0mim. As pessoas foram incr\u00edveis, dan\u00e7aram a noite toda, foi u<\/i>ma troca<\/i>\u00a0<\/i>incr\u00edvel!!<\/i>

Eu iniciei um novo projeto com o ‘Nist<\/i>‘ chamado ‘vs.Mode<\/i>‘. A gente n\u00e3o t\u00e1 amarrado a nenhum estilo em espec\u00edfico mas neste momento estamos explorando nosso Techno mais interior. Estamos perto do nosso primeiro lan\u00e7amento, ent\u00e3o podem procurar pelo\u00a0vs.Mode\u00a0<\/i>!TB::\u00a0O que est\u00e1 por vir na sua carreira?<\/b>

\n<\/b>EC::\u00a0<\/i>A beleza deste “projeto\u00a0Elijah<\/span>\u00a0Collins’ \u00e9 que n\u00e3o \u00e9 u<\/i>ma carreira para\u00a0mim.\u00a0<\/i>Eu tentei co<\/i>mo uma carreira antes, terminei perdendo o amor de ser DJ e fiquei longe uns dois anos. Foi uma \u00e9poca negra. Desta vez \u00e9 do\u00a0meu jeito, o que quer dizer que eu posso fazer\u00a0m\u00fasica de qualquer estilo que eu quiser sem ter que\u00a0me preocupar em\u00a0me\u00a0manter atual, eu s\u00f3 fa\u00e7o o que ‘sou eu’\u00a0mesmo e parece que est\u00e1 funcionando. Eu sou DJ e<\/i>m pri<\/i>meiro lugar e s\u00f3 preciso de boas gigs co<\/i>mo est\u00e1 que vai rolar e<\/i>m Curitiba,\u00a0<\/i>no Club Vibe, e isso\u00a0<\/i>me\u00a0<\/i>mant\u00e9<\/i>m feliz at\u00e9 a pr\u00f3xi<\/i>m<\/i>a gig. \u00c9 para\u00a0<\/i>minha pr\u00f3pria sanidade. Wow! You wen’t deep in to the archives. That was about the 2013 riots we had back home but it can apply to music if you want. Maybe it’s not so much about age as some of my favourite artists are a lot younger than I am and some are older. The way this game has worked for me is this: there was always someone who was happy to teach me and pass on musical and technical knowledge, in turn I will always be happy to pass on this information to others. If we are always willing to pass on this information and look after each other the music will prosper.\u00a0<\/i><\/span>

\n<\/i>You have played all over the world. What is underground\u00a0music\u00a0for you?\u00a0<\/b><\/span>

\n<\/i><\/b>Perhaps I’m not the best person to answer this because to me the only difference between underground and popular music is how many people have heard and like a track. Music is music whether underground or not and to me it’s a way to release myself from the stresses of everyday life, it’s a way to concentrate on difficult tasks, it’s a way to say something when I have no words, it’s a way to find myself when I’m lost, it’s a way to have fun and stay happy. Music will never lie to me or hurt me because even bad music can be turned off.\u00a0<\/i><\/span>

\n<\/i>In Curitiba people still remember that remarkable night at the Club Vibe on June 12, 2012. Nothing but a\u00a0pimpin attitude! Please, write us a few words about it.<\/b><\/span>

\n<\/b>I have to say, that night in Club Vibe is one of my top DJ memories of my career so far. It was very soon after I had started theElijah<\/span>\u00a0project and I had an amazing selection of other people’s music, most of which I thought were much better than mine at the time. About 7 tracks in I suddenly realised that not only did people want to hear my tracks, but that they loved them as much as the tracks I had from other artists. It was a very humbling experience. The people we’re incredible and danced the night away and I was able to feed off them and then give it back. It was amazing!<\/i><\/span>

\n<\/i><\/b>I go in cycles of musical preference and as you may have noticed my music has gotten heavier over the years as I wan’t to dance harder! I’ve started a new project with Nist called\u00a0Nist\u00a0. We are not tied down to any one genre but at the moment we’re exploring our inner Techno. We’re\u00a0about to drop our first release so look out for it.<\/span>
